Although Thanksgiving has come and gone, I find myself feeling grateful after the fact, the turkey, and the cranberry sauce. Oh, and the cherry pie!

After years of writing, dismissing, rewriting, agonizing, and finally getting published, Margaritas, Mayhem & Murder: Andi Anna Jones Book # 1, is up and running!

I have so many people to thank for making this possible.

First, my husband, Ken. He’s always been and always will be my biggest supporter. Don’t get me wrong; he’s a tough critic and will tell me when something, literally, stinks! He also has a very creative mind and vivid imagination. More than once he’s dug me out of severe writers block.

Second, my publisher, Imajin Books. I can’t begin to tell you how supportive they’ve been through this whole process. From the very beginning, every question has been answered. I was assigned a magnificent editor who not only made the book much better, but gave me ideas to improve the storyline. Whether a writer traditionally publishes or self-publishes, an independent editor is a must.

Third, I’d like to thank all the bloggers/friends/authors who have helped promote MM&M. Also the amazing writers with the Carrollton Writers Guild. Your critiques were invaluable! Writing in the mystery/cozy/crime mystery genre was completely foreign to me, but thanks to so many generous authors and bloggers, the transition has been a pleasure. I still plan to write children’s books and have a new series started, but this has been a welcome change.

Fourth, I’d like to thank one of my dear friends, who happens to be the most magnificent portrait painter this side of the Mississippi; maybe the whole US! Melissa Crawford graciously donated her time and equipment to take author headshots. Her expertise in turning the most un-photogenic person in the world into a perfectly acceptable looking author, was sheer genius.

Fifth, I’d like like to thank all those who have supported me by downloading the Ebook or purchasing the paperback. But, my work isn’t done. I’ve begun Andi Anna Jones Mystery # 2. It will be published sometime next year; if Book # 1 sells, that is!
