Recently I joined a site to help promote authors and let readers know what books we enjoy. I began my first list with some old favorites. A couple of Newbury Award books from two of my favorite authors, a couple of fantasy favs, and a classic from Steinbeck. Click on the link and discover why I chose these five books.

So, what’s Shepherd all about?

Discovering a new book should be a magical experience where the search is part of the fun. That is what we are creating. We give readers fun ways to find amazing books.

And, we help authors sell books. Authors face a massive battle to get their books in front of interested readers. We want to make that easier.

We launched on April 19th, 2021 and here is our story!

• Last month we had 413,000+ visitors! Up 348% year over year.
• We launched book pages! One for individual books like Dune and one to help readers find books like one they already know and love (try books like Kitchen Confidential).
• We launched genres and age groups on the website! Try our bookshelves on science fiction or books for young adults. We also added filters to help readers hone in on the type of book they want. Next, we are adding genres to the front page, search, and other parts of the website.
