Sitting on my deck this morning, I couldn’t help but admire the persistence of one certain spider. He’s been hanging around most of the summer. I know that because I’ve run into his (her) webs more than once.
We’ve done out best to leave the webs alone because they’re all part of the natural scheme of things. Once in awhile, we accidentally run into one or have to remove it because it’s blocking the stairs to the bottom deck. We always sense guilt and remorse when that happens.
I mean, really, just look at the workmanship, or spidership, in this case! It wasn’t there yesterday and it might not be there tomorrow.
If not, I’m certain he or she will start, again, on one just as beautiful and functional.
We can all take a lesson from the persistent spider. Get knocked down? Your hard work is criticized? Your views are ridiculed?
